Happy Sunday

I haven't been able to blog, since I've been running around a lot this week. Between Wil's birthday, my niece's 1st birthday, work, and all of my random errands; just haven't had the time to sit down and upload, and unload. So here are a few pictures that I took this past Sunday, the 18th from my baby niece's birthday party, the Colombian Festival in Hackensack, and others.

Me and Yolliebird (Yolanda) sippin' on some bangin' ass piña coladas at the Colombian Festival. There wasn't a drop of alcohol in them, but they were so effen amazing!

Sakinah & Li'Asia (sisters) - It was the little one's 1st birthday, and she seemed a little over it. I would be, too if everyone was passing me around like a ragdoll. I get that it was the child's birthday, but it was too damn hott for all of that!

Li'Asia's Birthda Cake - The cake was really cute. It was Diego and Dora. Problem: It was sooooo hott out, so they decided to "take a nap"...haha. It tasted sooo good, though!

Justin (Christina's Son - Youngest of 2) - Is he fucking adorable?! I want to put him in my pocket! Almost like a Polly-Pocket, except its Justin. Lol.

A little Sunday night company with red wine. It was amazing. (Clearly, everything from this day was amazing or bangin.)

Wil's Birthday Cake - Yes, homemade by yours truly! A little help from the Pillsbury Doughboy, but I gave this a lot of effort. Look at how neat it is. Yummm!

This is Me - Right now :-)

Xtina Better WEEERRK! :-x

Like many Christina Aguilera fans, I have anxiously...yet, patiently waiting for her new album to be released. All of her fans have been dying to hear a new single, see a new picture that has something to do with the new album, know a release date. FINALLY, the time has come! Christina, like always, has pulled out all the stops with the cover for her new single, "Not Myself Tonight" with her very sexxy, devilish look. I don't know what else to say but "Bitch better do it!" HAH! I looooove it!

Everyone, go head over to ChristinaAguilera.com tomorrow at 12PM (Noon) to hear the new single. It will be released then! YAYYYY!
OMGosh! I cannot wait! I've been really hoping that Christina would give the fans something crazy, and hott...I think she is sure to satisfy all of her fans and then some just by the looks of that single cover. *EXCITEMENT Everywhere* HAHA!

Let There Be Light!

The power is back on! I'm super excited. Sooo excited, that I jumped right onto the computer to re-make *exhales* my banner. I hope you all like it. I was very hesistant to do anything with Gaga, because I know so many people ride that girl like there's no tomorrow. So I tried to find pics that I not only loved, but knew no one else would find "pretty". This is pretty to me. Bondage. Lol.

Again, I hope you all like it. And AMEN for electricity!

New music, too! Now dance!

Testimonial: Nectarine Mint

As some of you are already aware, I work for a Bath & Body Works/White Barn Candle Co. (a side by side - 2 stores in one) and I am the "home fragrance specialist". The name makes me laugh a little. Regardless, I purchase many items from my store...MANY, and I am always being asked to try new items as they come in every so often.

Recently, we launched a slew of new scents in our home fragrance collection; scents that are amazing for the Spring/Summer. Since I am such an avid shopper at our store, and since my managers keep asking me, "What do you think of this scent? - How does this smell when it burns? - Did you try this item?" I figured, why not give readers my testimonials on our products and maybe introduce some new things to your lives.

Nectarine Mint (home fragrance) Candle 14.5 oz - Wallflower Refills
Description: juicy nectarine, grapefruit, sugar, crisp mint leaves

Honestly, I love this scent. We first received this scent almost a year ago in Anti-bacterial hand soap. It was such a hott seller, and such a great scent that one of our managers requested that it be made into a candle. The company once made a "Juicy Nectarine" candle, and although it performed well, I believe many customers grew tired of the extremely strong scent. This nectarine is far more tolerable than the old one. Its very potent, has a sweet nectarine scent, and it does have the notes of mint...but they are very faint. Either way, its amazing. And our candles are the BEST! Our vegetable wax candles burn clean all the way down without residue, and are lead-free. Nectarine Mint is the perfect sweet scent to introduce Spring this year. I have it in both the candle pictured, and in the wallflower refills (plug-ins) in the kitchen. When Wil walked in he was like, "Omgosh D, what is that smell? Its so good! I love it." And he's a very picky person. He can't take many scents due to severe migraines, and he love's it. Our kitchen smells soooo good!

Go out this weekend to your nearest BBW or shop online at Bath&BodyWorks.com and purchase this candle or other of your favorite scents while the 14.5 oz candles are 2 for $20 (normally $19.50 each). Take advantage of this sale.

I hope you all enjoy, and more testimonials in the future. Later.

Lack Of A Heartbeat!

Yesterday, all I could think about was leaving work...even before getting to work! I felt this way because I knew right after work I was heading to Garden State to go to BestBuy and get my new headphones. I am a HUGE music lover, and I LIVE for bass and good beats. I like to feel my music in my skin. I like to hear a beat that is pulsating through the headphones, into my ears, and into my soul. I NEED GOOD HEADPHONES! So I decided instead of getting Dr. Dre's extra pricey BEATS by Dr. Dre, I'd get something more affordable and fashionable. I bought myself a pair of HEARTBEATS by Lady GaGa. WASTE of my money in my opinion.

The look is really cute, and shiny. They make you very excited at first glance. They come with 2 different size "buds" - I would call them, for your ears. I replaced the bigger ones they come with, with the smaller ones in the little shiny carrying case they give you to carry your earphones in. Of course to test them out I put on songs I felt had really good bass and beats (i.e. : "LoveGame", "Rock With U", "Don't Stop The Music"). While listening to the songs I found myself adjusting the earphones to my ears way too much. I kept playing with them as they were in my ear, moving them around and pushing them...pulling them out a little. Maybe its just ME, but I was not comfortable at all. I don't really like them. I tried listening to music with them again before bed, and it wasn't working. So tomorrow they are going back and I'll look into something else around the same price. I expected more, but like I said it could just be ME. We'll see tomorrow what I find.

Puerto Rico Takes Over, Once Again!

Wil's Mother and her sisters are back in town! This time around its not for someone's surgery, or to visit the family. Unfortunately, one of the 13..YES 13 sisters has passed. Its a really sad time for all of them, and they've all come together as well as others in the family to pay their respects.

I'm actually very happy to see his Mother. She's one of the sweetest women I've ever known, and never judges. I love that most about her. I just wish we weren't seeing her for reasons such as this.

____

So while everyone is out at the funeral, I'm home alone (with Skeff actually) site/page hopping and listening to a bunch of music that I haven't listened to in a while. OMG, I forgot how great some of these songs were and what they meant to me way back when I first heard them. If anyone downloads illegally (we all do..) or goes thru iTunes (loves iTunes) purchase these few:

Brandy - Brokenhearted (The Best of Brandy Version)
Christina Aguilera - Underappreciated (Stripped)
Janet Jackson - Where Are You Now (janet.)
SWV - Rain (Release Some Tension)
Diana Ross & The Supremes - Love Is Like An Itching In My Heart (The Definitive Collection)

Random jam session turns into that and then some. OH, and for the many that have yet to see "THIS IS IT"...go see it. Its such a great movie/documentary. I'm very much into that whole behind the scenes look on tours and music videos, and not because its Michael Jackson...but because its worth seeing. He wasn't crazy, he was a perfectionist. I find it very respectable as I watched it, and he's effin hilarious with his "let it simmer" but he made complete sense. When you go see it you'll understand. Its a must see in my opinion.

Thought of randomness...anyone remember "Apple Pie A La Mode", by Destiny's Child. It just played on my iTunes - who knew Beyoncé would go from that to "Single Ladies". Oh how times change.

Until my next random thought, later! :-)
